I have been involved with photography as far back as I can remember. I always had some sort of 110 or Polaroid camera as a kid. I started formal education in photography during my senior year of high school (1995 - 1996). As soon as I saw the photo appear on the paper in the darkroom developer tray, I was hooked.
I received an Associate Degree in Fine Art Photography and Digital Imaging from Richland Community College in 2001. Outside of college I have taken several workshops including one hosted by editoral photographer, Zacak Arias, and another workshop that was hosted by portrait photographer Sue Bryce. I continue to learn and work on my craft on a regular basis.
I focus on headshot and portrait photography, working with business owners, artists, athletes, and high school seniors.
I also work on personal projects documenting life happening around me. The end goal is to produce printed work, be it individual prints, or self published books. Some of the projects I've completed are: Automatic In San Diego, Folk In Texas, and Smile More Talk Less.
Over the years, I've been asked on numerous occasions by others learning photography, if I could teach them. I have been hosting photography lessons and workshops since 2010.
I would be honored to use my experience and skill set to serve you, create images for you, and help you acheive your goals with what I have to offer.
